Product Overview

The ABB DI802 is an 8-channel AC digital input module in the AC 800M distributed control system, specifically developed for reliable acquisition of 115 V AC discrete signals. This module is widely used to receive 110-120 V AC field signals from auxiliary contacts of high-voltage equipment, position switches of circuit breakers, alarm relays of transformers, status feedback of motor control centers (MCC), etc., without the need for additional signal conditioning or intermediate relay conversion.

Installation and Usage instructions
Hardware installation
Insert DI802 into the S800 I/O electronic rack (such as TB840A);
Connect to the CI854A (optical fiber) or CI801 (electrical) communication module via the ModuleBus cable;
For dry contact input, an external 115 V AC query power supply (usually from the control transformer) is required.
Software configuration
Add the DI802 device in Control Builder M;
Name each channel (such as "CB_Main_Closed_FB");
Configurable input filtering time (default 10 ms, adjustable) to suppress jitter;
Download the configuration to the AC 800M controller.
Debugging and verification
A constantly lit green LED indicates that the power supply and communication of the module are normal.
View the real-time input status through the System 800xA screen or Control Builder M;
Values can be forced for logical testing (only in debug mode).
