    ABB AI835 is a high-performance 8-channel analog input module in the AC 800M distributed control system, specifically designed for applications in harsh industrial environments that require extremely high signal accuracy, electrical isolation, and anti-interference capabilities. Each channel is equipped with independent current/voltage input capability and complete electrical isolation between channels (up to 1500 V AC), effectively preventing ground loops, common-mode interference and equipment damage risks.

    Installation and Usage instructions
    Hardware installation
    Insert the AI835 into the S800 I/O electronic rack (such as TB840A);
    It is interconnected with the CI854A (optical fiber) or CI801 (electrical) communication module through a dedicated connector.
    Connect the on-site signal using shielded twisted-pair cables, with the shielding layer grounded at a single point.
    Software configuration
    Create an instance of the AI835 device in Control Builder M;
    Set the signal type (mA/V), range and engineering unit separately for each channel;
    Enable disconnection detection, alarm limit values and filter parameters;
    Download the configuration to the AC 800M controller.
    Debugging and verification
    The green LED on the front panel indicates that the module is operating normally.
    A red LED flashing indicates channel-level faults (such as sensor disconnection);
    View the real-time values and diagnostic status through the System 800xA screen.
