Product Overview
ABB P854 is the power and communication management module in the S800 I/O system, specifically designed for the TB854/TB855 redundant I/O baseboard. It not only provides stable and reliable + 5V and ± 15V logic power supplies for the connected DI/DO/AI/AO modules, but also manages the ModuleBus communication bus to ensure efficient and reliable transmission of I/O data between the modules and communication interfaces (such as CI854A).

Installation and Usage instructions
Hardware installation
Insert the two P854s into the left and right power slots of the
TB854/TB855 base plate respectively.
Connect two independent 24V DC power supplies (it is recommended to
come from different UPS or power systems);
Install S800 I/O modules (up to 12) on the right side of P854.
Install the CI854A optical fiber module in the communication slot
of the base plate (redundant configuration is also required);
System configuration
Create redundant I/O stations in Control Builder M;
The software automatically recognizes P854 and the connected I/O
module.
There is no need to configure P854 separately; its functions are
automatically managed by the system.
Debugging and verification
The two P854 OK lights should remain constantly on, and the COMM
lights should flash synchronously.
When one power supply is disconnected, the system should switch
without interference and I/O data should be continuously updated.
If the FUSE light is on, check the polarity of the power supply,
voltage or the internal fuse.
