Product Overview
The ABB TB820V2 is a standard 8-slot I/O electronic frame (also known as the base plate or back plate) for the S800 I/O system, specifically designed for vertical installation. It is used to support and connect up to 8 S800 series I/O modules (such as DI801, DO810, AI810, AO810, etc.). It provides power distribution and high-speed data communication channels for the module through the built-in ModuleBus bus, and connects to the CI801 (electrical) or CI854A (optical fiber) communication interface module via a dedicated interface, thereby accessing the AC 800M controller.

Installation and Usage instructions
Hardware installation
Fix the TB820V2 on the DIN rail;
Install the CI801 (electrical) or CI854A (optical fiber)
communication module in the leftmost slot.
Insert up to 8 S800 I/O modules (such as DI801, DO810, etc.) in
sequence on the right side.
Connect the CI module to the AC 800M controller using the ModuleBus
cable.
Software configuration
Create an I/O station in Control Builder M and select the TB820V2
base plate type;
The software automatically identifies the model of the inserted
module and the number of channels.
Assign a label to each channel (such as "Pump_Start_FB");
Download the configuration to the controller, and the system will
automatically activate the I/O station.
Debugging and verification
A constantly lit RUN light in the CI module indicates normal
communication.
The status of the I/O module can be monitored in real time through
software.
Supports online forced input/output for convenient loop testing.
