ABB SD822 is a compact Operator Display Unit in the ABB System 800xA process control system, specifically designed for field-level human-machine interaction (HMI). Installation and Usage instructions
Mechanical installation
Make holes in the control cabinet door (according to the dimensions on the drawing);
Insert SD822 from the front and fix it with clamping bolts at the rear.
Install the sealing gasket to ensure IP65 protection.
Electrical connection
Connect to a 24V DC power supply (overcurrent protection is recommended);
Connect the dual network cables to the System 800xA control network;
Optional serial port devices (such as printers and instruments) can be connected.
System configuration
Add "Operator Workplace" in the System 800xA project;
Allocate operation permissions, screen groups, and alarm filtering rules;
Support remote deployment and software updates.
Daily maintenance
For screen cleaning, use a lint-free soft cloth and neutral detergent.
Regularly check the heat dissipation and ventilation (even though it is fanless, it is still necessary to avoid a closed high-temperature environment).
